THE RESIDENTIAL LIFT COMPANY

With ever increasing land prices, two-storey homes are becoming a necessity and with the aging population having a home elevator is quickly becoming an essential inclusion.

When building a new two-storey home, installing a RESiLIFT® ensures you are future-proofing your home.

When the RESiLIFT® is being included in a New Build, we will appoint a project manager to liaise with your builder throughout the process to ensure the best outcome for you. The next step is usually to review your plans and identify a suitable location.

Some builders prefer to retrofit the home lift after the building works are completed.

We can send you a brochure detailing the 3 different models and current price
list along with more technical information is available if required.

We would also like to arrange for you to experience a RESiLIFT® for yourself.

RESiLIFT® really does need to be seen to be believed.  It is so simple, so
accessible and so affordable.

RESiLIFT® will no doubt add value, safety and convenience to your new home.

CELEBRATING OVER 1000 LIFTS!

We're celebrating our customers, suppliers and growth with the installation of our 1000th lift. Here are some of your stories on how our lifts have impacted Australian lives.

THE INVENTOR

Peter Van Emmerik was a Hydro Engineer in the construction of dams for almost 40 years which led him to jobs around Australia and abroad.  His innovative style, coupled with his knowledge of stresses was widely recognized and sought after.

When Peter retired in 1999, he designed the first RESiLIFT® to allow people to stay in their homes.  By June 2004 the first proto-type was operating in his home in Lenah Valley, Tasmania.

The design was certified by SEMF and accepted by Workplace Standards Tasmania. It was granted a patent for its unique design which minimises the impact on the home.  The lift received a high commendation from the Institute of Engineers in 2009.

Inventor & CEO : Peter and Rosemary van Emmerik

Since then Peter and his wife Rosemary set up their first commercial business together – The Residential Lift Company,  Peter as Production Manager, Rosemary as Sales Manager.  Together they have sold and installed almost 1,000 lifts throughout Australia and now have family members actively involved in the business.

Today Peter's trailblazing style continues as he is actively involved in product development of his innovation the RESiLIFT®.

Peter and Rosemary look forward to the future and passing on the family business to the next generation whilst still developing ideas and new models to meet the growing market.

Here's a short video of Peter's recent visit to Melbourne for a showroom launch party.  You can see how smooth the lift operates and the seamless design that can blend into any home environment.

Most Affordable
The RESiLIFT® is half the price of a commercial-style lift, with less building modifications and minimal ongoing maintenance than any other lift.

Safe & Easy to Use
RESiLIFT® operates with continuous pressure. The operator is in control of the journey for the whole way. The sensors, grabrail and safety shield reduces the risk of falling out. See full features here. Read full safety features.

Manufactured in Australia
RESiLIFT® was designed by an Australian for Australians. We use locally sourced parts to manufacture. This means you have local support if needed.

Quality
The key components of RESiLIFT® are made from quality products. The hoist is German Engineered and made in Australia by SEW Eurodrive. The extrusions are from Ullrich and all other components are manufactured in Tasmania.

Compact Design
The footprint for a Mirage is incredibly less than one square metre. It is the most compact residential lift on the market taking less space than a shower. We are also able customise the Miracle to fit in very small spaces.

Add Value to Your Home
Installing a RESiLIFT® will add value, convenience and safety to your home. Should you decide to sell, it increases the number of potential buyers.

Future-proofing your home is about being prepared for whatever happens to you or your family members.  As we age, the likelihood that we experience limitations to our mobility increases.  It may be the result of a past injury or a new diagnosis.  For people living in two-storey or split-level homes, stairs may become difficult to navigate and sometimes even dangerous. Faced with this dilemma, some people feel their only choice is to move to a single-level home. Pleased with already having a RESiLIFT installed, Lyn from Gisborne, Victoria shared her experience “I broke my leg just before Christmas, and having the lift was a God-send. On the other hand,” Lyn says, “My girlfriend broke her ankle very badly last year and had to have an ankle fusion. Their home has very steep stairs and no bathroom downstairs. Without a lift, it was a nightmare.” RESiLIFT® is not only an affordable solution, it’s a smart choice.  Because the footprint is so small, our lift can be retrofitted into existing homes with minimal impact.  Many people also install our lifts in their holiday homes as they prepare for a sea or tree change. Australians are including lifts in their house designs so that…

Pictured above is a Miracle RESiLIFT® The RESiLIFT® was specifically designed so people could safely stay in their two-story or split-level home and eliminate the danger of stairs and at the same time offer the most affordable home elevators on the market. Invented by Tasmanian Engineer Peter van Emmerik, the award-winning RESiLIFT® remains to be Australia’s most affordable and reliable home elevator. “I designed this elevator so people could stay safely in the home they love,” says Peter. “It saves time, effort and money that would otherwise be wasted moving home. It also removes the emotional anguish of being uprooted from your family home.” There are numerous RESiLIFT® safety features. Firstly, the home elevator operates with continuous pressure, giving the operator complete control of the journey for the whole way. There is also an isolating key to turn off the entire home elevator unit in case there are occasions that you would like to stop the elevator from being used (perhaps when the grandkids are over?!). The shaftless design means a safety lid covers the upstairs opening when the elevator is on the lower floor. There are pressure sensitive safety surfaces which stop the elevator if there is an obstruction…

RESiLIFTs are the original in-home elevators. The award-winning shaftless design was invented by our very own CEO, Australian engineer Peter van Emmerik. The Residential Lift Company manufactures and distributes the RESiLIFT® range around Australia. Peter’s ground-breaking design is patented and has been replicated across the globe. Pioneering home elevators, Peter’s clever design has enabled the average Australian to afford an in home elevator. Now installing a RESiLIFT® is a fraction of the financial cost of moving homes. The RESiLIFT® can be retrofitted into existing homes with minimal hassle. The home elevator can also be easily installed in new builds. Why install a RESiLIFT in-home elevator? Installing a RESiLIFT® enables people to stay in their split-level home without the limitations and dangers of stairs. In 2019, the RESiLIFT® elevators continue to be Australia’s most affordable in-home elevators on the market with almost 1,500 home elevators installed around the country. Despite the home elevator’s small footprint, RESiLIFT® lifts still fits two people. With the choice of three different sizes, some can accommodate walkers and even wheelchairs. With a huge number of safety features, a RESiLIFT® means you can stay in your home safely. With authorised RESiLIFT® distributors located around Australia, you can…
