THE RESIDENTIAL LIFT COMPANY

With ever increasing land prices, two-storey homes are becoming a necessity and with the aging population having a home elevator is quickly becoming an essential inclusion.

When building a new two-storey home, installing a RESiLIFT® ensures you are future-proofing your home.

When the RESiLIFT® is being included in a New Build, we will appoint a project manager to liaise with your builder throughout the process to ensure the best outcome for you. The next step is usually to review your plans and identify a suitable location.

Some builders prefer to retrofit the home lift after the building works are completed.

We can send you a brochure detailing the 3 different models and current price
list along with more technical information is available if required.

We would also like to arrange for you to experience a RESiLIFT® for yourself.

RESiLIFT® really does need to be seen to be believed.  It is so simple, so
accessible and so affordable.

RESiLIFT® will no doubt add value, safety and convenience to your new home.

CELEBRATING OVER 1000 LIFTS!

We're celebrating our customers, suppliers and growth with the installation of our 1000th lift. Here are some of your stories on how our lifts have impacted Australian lives.

THE INVENTOR

Peter Van Emmerik was a Hydro Engineer in the construction of dams for almost 40 years which led him to jobs around Australia and abroad.  His innovative style, coupled with his knowledge of stresses was widely recognized and sought after.

When Peter retired in 1999, he designed the first RESiLIFT® to allow people to stay in their homes.  By June 2004 the first proto-type was operating in his home in Lenah Valley, Tasmania.

The design was certified by SEMF and accepted by Workplace Standards Tasmania. It was granted a patent for its unique design which minimises the impact on the home.  The lift received a high commendation from the Institute of Engineers in 2009.

Inventor & CEO : Peter and Rosemary van Emmerik

Since then Peter and his wife Rosemary set up their first commercial business together – The Residential Lift Company,  Peter as Production Manager, Rosemary as Sales Manager.  Together they have sold and installed almost 1,000 lifts throughout Australia and now have family members actively involved in the business.

Today Peter's trailblazing style continues as he is actively involved in product development of his innovation the RESiLIFT®.

Peter and Rosemary look forward to the future and passing on the family business to the next generation whilst still developing ideas and new models to meet the growing market.

Here's a short video of Peter's recent visit to Melbourne for a showroom launch party.  You can see how smooth the lift operates and the seamless design that can blend into any home environment.

Most Affordable
The RESiLIFT® is half the price of a commercial-style lift, with less building modifications and minimal ongoing maintenance than any other lift.

Safe & Easy to Use
RESiLIFT® operates with continuous pressure. The operator is in control of the journey for the whole way. The sensors, grabrail and safety shield reduces the risk of falling out. See full features here. Read full safety features.

Manufactured in Australia
RESiLIFT® was designed by an Australian for Australians. We use locally sourced parts to manufacture. This means you have local support if needed.

Quality
The key components of RESiLIFT® are made from quality products. The hoist is German Engineered and made in Australia by SEW Eurodrive. The extrusions are from Ullrich and all other components are manufactured in Tasmania.

Compact Design
The footprint for a Mirage is incredibly less than one square metre. It is the most compact residential lift on the market taking less space than a shower. We are also able customise the Miracle to fit in very small spaces.

Add Value to Your Home
Installing a RESiLIFT® will add value, convenience and safety to your home. Should you decide to sell, it increases the number of potential buyers.

At 83, Diana is as sharp as a tack, but arthritis has made it hard for her to move around like she used to. Determined to keep living independently in the home she loves, Diana installed a RESiLIFT. “Every time I get in that lift, I think every dollar is worth it,” she says. For owners of multi-level dwellings, installing a residential lift is arguably the most transformative upgrade you can undertake to make your home more accessible and liveable through your retirement years. Elevators Provide a Safer Alternative to Stairs Falls on or from stairs are a significant cause of injury in the home. It’s easy to slip or miss a step while going downstairs, especially when carrying heavy items like groceries, laundry, or suitcases. If you plan to enjoy your retirement in a double-story home, addressing the issue of stairs is crucial, as a fall can dramatically affect your plans. Installing a residential lift allows people to navigate stairs safely and makes everyday life easier. Historically, elevators were too expensive for most homeowners. However, with the invention of RESiLIFT®, the world’s first shaftless, through-floor lift, elevators are now more affordable and fit seamlessly into any home. Enjoy your home longer Futureproofing means preparing your home for potential changes in mobility that you or your loved ones may experience. As people age, their mobility needs often change, making it essential to equip your home with features that help you adapt. By doing so, you can continue to enjoy your home comfortably and safely…

Residential elevators are fast becoming a must-have in two-storey homes, particularly for those who want to stay in their home as they age. When choosing a lift for your home, these are the factors you should consider. 1. Size – Most people assume that home elevators need a significant footprint, but with continuing advancements in design, there are now lifts on the market invented specifically for residential use. At less than one square metre, The Mirage, by RESiLIFT, is the most compact home lift on the market that comfortably fits two people. And the innovative, through-floor design leaves space within the room when the lift is on the other level. RESiLIFT also offers two larger models, and a trained salesperson can help you choose the right lift for you based on your needs, floor plan and space. 2. Purpose – It may sound obvious, but it is important to consider why you want a lift. At first, it might be for transporting groceries from your garage to an upper level. But as time goes on, and your mobility support needs increase, it may be essential to have a lift car that caters for a walking aid or wheelchair. Taking a…
